Reminiscing for the Nostalgic

"The world is full of people whose notion of a satisfactory future is, in fact, a return to the idealized past." - Robertson Davies, A Voice from the Attic

I'm Kelly; lover of the 1940s, Gene Kelly, and Jesus. This blog is devoted to early 20th Century history, period dramas, Doctor Who, and my sexy French lover, Jean Dujardin.

There is just nothing in this world funnier than Cary’s big gorgeous pumpkin of a head bouncing around in front of Ingrid Bergman who’s barely concealing her desire to laugh.

I really can’t stop watching this. It’s just so hilarious.

I friggin’ love Old Hollywood, man. You just can’t write this kind of stuff now.

He was so cute with his kids.

Gene Kelly in The Pirate (1948)

I can never decide whether this is hot or not. Well, I guess at least you could say he has a talented mou…

Oh.

Although I’m sure I’d throw up in disgust if anyone else tried it, I’d gladly let Gene try it on me.

This is such a sexy scene. I need to watch it again. It’s been too long!
