Reminiscing for the Nostalgic

"The world is full of people whose notion of a satisfactory future is, in fact, a return to the idealized past." - Robertson Davies, A Voice from the Attic

I'm Kelly; lover of the 1940s, Gene Kelly, and Jesus. This blog is devoted to early 20th Century history, period dramas, Doctor Who, and my sexy French lover, Jean Dujardin.

I almost fainted when meeting this photo.

It is touching how beautiful they were… *__*

Jeannie looks a little too thin, but she’s still radiant.

The Three Musketeers, 1948.

The way Gene secure the face of June is so sweet and, at the same time, so sexy!

Oh. My. Word.

I’ve never noticed the way he licks his lips.

I’d like a ride!

I wouldn’t ever turn down a ride with Gene in a classic car.

Aside from the fact that he is a brilliant actor, I think the reason I love Jean Dujardin so much is because he reminds me of my first true love, Gene Kelly.

OK girls - I have to ask Gene or Jean - who do you find more attractive?

You would not make me choose.

You would not ask that question.

That is the evilest of evil questions with a side helping of evil.

Gah!

I cannot choose.

I love them both.

But if I have to choose, I pick Jean ONLY because he is still alive and I can have the fantasy of running into him in the Paris airport on a layover to Italy for work.

Why would you ask that?!

I love both men, but Gene holds an extra special place in my heart. That’s all I should have to say.

oh Jean, if only all men were as dreamy as you.

Love… was our only plot device

If it’s a crime to love Gene, I don’t wanna be right.

This is by far my favorite part of any animated movie. I’m so close to shedding a tear  just looking at those stills!
