Reminiscing for the Nostalgic

Ohhh, why did they choose this background photo? Snow? Ice? Nothing ahead but more snow and ice for miles to come? It could be an adventure, but probably not one you’d want.

“Too many young women I think are harder on themselves than circumstances warrant. They are too often selling themselves short. They too often take criticism personally instead of seriously. You should take criticism seriously because you might learn something, but you can’t let it crush you. You have to be resilient enough to keep moving forward, whatever the personal setbacks and even insults that come your way might be. That takes a sense of humor about yourself and others. Believe me, this is hard-won advice I’m putting forth. It’s not like you wake up and understand this. It’s a process.” —

I couldn’t agree more:

"It is both delusional & stupid to think that clothes dont really matter and we should all wear whatever we want. Most people don’t take clothes seriously enough, but whether we should or not, clothes do Talk to us and we make decisions based on peoples appearances”.
 - G. BRUCE BOYER -

Exactly. People deserve respect no matter what they wear, but, whether we like it or not, our choice in clothing always sends a message.

“There are worse things than being alone but it often takes decades to realize this and most often when you do it’s too late and there’s nothing worse than too late.” —

Charles Bukowski (via millionmovieproject)

I’m glad I realized this early on. I don’t like being alone (at least not all the time), but I far prefer it to the thought of being stuck in a relationship with a man I don’t like. I do have pretty particular standards, so it doesn’t take much for me to see that I really don’t want what is demonstrated in so many relationships around me.

Anonymous asked: I'm not cruel. Or sick or twisted :( i was asking for fun :(

Aw, don’t take it personally.

Anonymous asked: Gene or jean? Pick one lol

YOU ARE CRUEL

I love both of my boys! They both have very special places in my heart. How dare you make me pick one!

That said, Gene is my Old Hollywood husband. He has the starring role in all of my WWII fantasies. He’s the one I welcome home after years away. I meet him at the train station in a very cute dress and he’s wearing a sailor suit and his huge trademark smile.

Jean is my sexy French lover. He’s the one who sweeps me off to Paris for a very romantic getaway. We dine at all of the best restaurants and kiss under a glittering Eiffel Tower (of course).

You see, both of them have important roles. I can’t choose one over the other. I mean, look at them!

cyber-dog:

idk if it’s because of all the dancing or what but Gene Kelly’s butt in the movie Singing in the Rain is probably one of the most A+ booties to have ever existed

Amen.

Aww, my little blog is 4! If you want to send any presents, you know what it likes.
//

I have brought  you a Frenchman who is singing Happy Birthday to you in his own language, whilst reclining in bed.
Because you deserve it.

This is the most fabulous birthday present for my blog. You know much it loves Shirtless Jean on a Bed.
I can’t wait to see you top it for my birthday! *wink* *wink*
